34 years after the release of their debut album, People's Instinctive Travels and the Path of Rhythm, A Tribe Called Quest has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Mary J Blige, Dionne Warwick, Ozzy Osbourne, Cher, and Peter Frampton are also amongst this years inductees.

ATCQ were nominated in 2022 and 2023, while Mary J Blige was nominated in 2021. Mary J Blige's 1992 debut album, What's The 411, bridged Hip-Hop and R&B with the usage of samples. Mary would soon be hailed the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, and the hits "Real Love", "You Remind Me", "Love No Limit", "Reminisce", and "Sweet Thing" helped propel her debut to #6 on the US Billboard 200 and the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop album chart.

ATCQ and Mary J join a growing number of Hip-Hop artists who've been inducted into the Rock Hall, including Eminem, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5, 2Pac, Run DMC, N.W.A., Jay-Z, LL COOL J, The Notorious B.I.G, Public Enemy, and Beastie Boys. Congrats to the inductees!
