The “No. 1 show in late night” has finally come to an end. 

This week, it was announced that The Bodega Boys – The Kid Mero and Desus Nice – will be going their separate ways after a decade of serving up gut-busting laughs, ending their late-night comedy show and creative partnership for good. 

“Desus Nice and The Kid Mero will be pursuing separate creative endeavors moving forward. Showtime’s late-night talk show Desus & Mero will not be returning for a fifth season. Its final episode aired Thursday, June 23,” read Showtime’s statement.

Desus and Mero were truly trailblazers in the late-night and comedy world. Both getting their starts as premiere comedy accounts in the Black Twittersphere for their always hilarious, (sometimes controversial), takes, Desus and Mero would go on to build an undeniable comedy empire through their brash, no-holds-barred comedy style.
