Wu-Tang Clan's landmark album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), turns 30 next year, and to commemorate the monumental event, a new limited-edition coffee table book, The Wu Tang Legacy, will take a deep dive into the Wu's storied legacy.
Here's the catch — only 36 copies of the 300-plus page book will be sold, with one of those being auctioned at Sotheby’s. The book will feature work from legendary photographers including Danny Hastings, PROTIM PHOTO, Kyle Christy and Andy Cantillon, along with Wu-Tang’s personal friends and family, and will feature rare or never printed images. Sculptor Gethin Jones (protégé of British sculptor Sir Antony Gormley, known for the Angel of the North) designed the chamber that encases each rare book, and the actual chamber is being handmade by Warren Holzman, a blacksmith and visual artist at Holzman Iron Studio, Philadelphia, PA.
