Too Short spoke with Rock the Bells for Rock The Bells Radio's All City Day: Bay Area and talked about his longtime friendship with fellow Bay Area legend E-40.

"You know like BC? We go back BR — before rap," Short said with a chuckle. "We've been homies man, me and 40 was connected to some real street shit. Not gonna get into details. I'm just gonna say his family and my family was one family."

Too $hort and E-40, who faced off against one another in one of the more entertaining Verzuz to date back in late 2020, were pioneers on the independent rap scene, leaving a blueprint for the Hip-Hop labels that popped up in the mid-late 90s.

"We didn't start making records until years after we met," $hort says. "But once we started, we never stopped. I probably have more songs with E-40 than anybody."

Check out their 1996 connection on E-40's "Rapper's Ball" below. Listen to Too Short's show, Don't Stop Rappin' on LL COOL J'S Rock The Bells Radio weekly.
