The cafe, which has been in the works for months and had a soft opening over Labor Day weekend, is now officially open daily. T.I. went on Instagram to invite the public out to the spot to get a drink, hang out, and watch the game. Currently, T.I. also owns the Bankhead Seafood food truck with Killer Mike. The pair also have plans to reopen a brick-and-mortar on Atlanta's westside after the original Bankhead Seafood restaurant was closed.
T.I. spoke to Eater about the importance of reviving the historic restaurant in his old neighborhood. “Personally, it was an important part of my upbringing, as I was always welcomed there and never left hungry,” he said. “But I also hope this will be a way to bring jobs to the community as we launch the food truck and break ground [this summer] on the actual restaurant.”
As for the Trap City Cafe, it's currently open daily at 5 p.m.
