Styles P, Beanie Sigel, Hit-Boy, and Pusha T are supporting Cannabis Common, an initiative spearheaded by HeadCount’s Cannabis Voter Project that aims to bring supporters of cannabis legalization under a unified campaign. The goal is to "remind our elected officials that cannabis legalization is incredibly popular with their constituents."

The initiative's newest campaign brings together a number of Hip-Hop artists and producers to lend their support to legalization, including Beanie Sigel, Styles P, Benny the Butcher, Pusha T, Hit-Boy, and Smoke DZA, who all appear in a video PSA. Al Harrington, Shiest Bubz, JoJo Simmons, Jessica Golich, Kosine, Jay Bape, Kas, HaHa Davis, Ugo Mozie, and BunnyMightGameU also make appearances.

According to the site, 91 percent support legalizing cannabis in some form — still, at the federal level, it's illegal. According to the ACLU, marijuana arrests now account for over half of all drug arrests in the United States, and of the 8.2 million marijuana arrests between 2001 and 2010, 88 percent were just for having marijuana. Not to mention the racial bias — despite nearly equal usage rates, Black people are 3.73 times more likely than whites to be arrested for marijuana.

So far, 19 states have legalized recreational cannabis use and 38 have approved medical marijuana. As of 2021, legal recreational cannabis was a $15 billion industry, and the number is expected to surpass $25 billion by 2025, according to Statista.
