Following up to the song and video “Saturday Morning Kung Fu Theatre” from the album of the same name, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and D.J. Scratch recently released the video for “Fate of The World”. The RZA and Danny Hastings produced video is a continuation from the previously mentioned with the RZA continuing his role as The Abbot training students in the ways of the Wu Tang while mentoring the same young child from the “Saturday Morning Kung Fu Theatre” video.
In the song and video RZA instructs: “Left right come together/put your hands up/Wu-Tang is forever”, as the students bring their hands together to form the iconic W. The song speaks of the need for peoples of all beliefs to come together as one to fight the evil forces of the world. In the songs intro RZA speaks: “All praise due to Allah – respect to my Christian brothers out there, my Synagogue brothers. My Haire Krishna’s – let build together.”
RZA spoke recently about the creation of Saturday Morning Kung Fu Theatre: “Lyrically the Hip Hop part of me had a chance to re-emerge during quarantine. Giving Scratch the reigns as producer and me taking the reigns as MC frees me up creatively and lets me play more with lyrical flows because I don’t have to be focused on everything. Check out the video for “Fate of The World” above.
