Veteran M.C., singer, actress and Executive Producer Queen Latifah has broken her silence concerning her Equalizer co star Chris Noth who played William Bishop on the show but was later fired by CBS after 2 women came forth in December of last year accusing Noth of sexual assault. The assault story was covered in a Hollywood Reporter story where the details of a 2004 and 2015 rape were revealed.

Queen Latifah had been silent about the allegations until she spoke with People’s Julie Moran recently about the situation. Latifah says “It’s still surreal. It’s a dicey and delicate situation that requires a great deal of respect. It’s a personal thing that he has to deal with.” She says further that justice must prevail, but things have to be handled correctly.

Noth was dropped by his agency A3 Artists and he had a Peleton ad pulled after Law & Order actress Zoe Lister – Jones accused Noth of sexually inappropriate behavior. William Bishop was a major character and Latifah says that they are figuring out how to go forward creatively in the face of the loss of such a huge character.

Noth’s troubles have also caused issues for the series And Just Like That which is a Sex In The City reboot where Noth played the role of Mr. Big. Cynthia Nixon who plays Miranda Hobbes on Sex & The City and And Just Like That says that they were lucky that they were able to cut Noth’s scenes.

As for how his character is being written off, the actress and singer said, "We are figuring out what we want to do creatively on the show and how we're going to deal with that character."
