Pusha T is known to be provocative with the images for the covers of his albums. On his last full-length release 2018’s Daytona a picture of Whitney Houston’s trashed and allegedly drug littered hotel room was used as a cover.
A recent Instagram posting from Pusha teased with what could possibly be the cover for his upcoming project. The picture of woman with a pile of white powder obscuring her face was the subject of his post, and it wasn’t long before fans figured out that the picture was of Lana Del Rey who has referenced cocaine in her music.
In a move that mirrors The Game and Kanye’s recent “performance clips” for “Eazy”, several clips of Pusha rapping along to one of his new songs at a party with Kanye West and Steven Victor – Pusha’s manager appeared on Twitter recently.
On Monday, Pusha took his promotion further, proclaiming that he was sitting on the “album of the motherfucking year.”
“A Pusha album takes a long time but when it comes together, ain’t nothing fuckin’ with it” he further boasted. Freddie Gibbs who has collaborated with Pusha on 2019’s “Palmolive” and last years “Miami Vice” from Grand Theft Auto co signed Pusha’s claim posting “He on my shit slappin’, so I believe him”, referring to a new collab on Gibbs upcoming project SSS (Soul Sold Separately), his 5th solo album. According to Victor Pusha’s new album is “Coming sooner than you think.”
