Joe Budden sat down with Nicki Minaj recently for his Do We Have A Problem podcast, and asked about a potential Verzuz with her once rival Lil Kim. Earlier this year Nicki told 97.9 The Box in Houston: “There may be a female or two” who could step in the ring with her. “Speaking of respect, I saw you say that you would do a Verzuz with one or two people” Joe said. “We all got to guessin’. I already know who one of those people would and should be – my guess would be Kim. The other one I had no Idea. I was stumped a little bit, and I felt that you out that there just to stump niggas” Joe continued as Nicki laughed out loud.

Joe questioned: “Who would this be outside of Kim, Missy – respectfully I don’t think Foxy. It’s just Kim and Missy and maybe Lauren [Hill] and I don’t even see that. I don’t see it stylistically.” In a calculated tone Nicki responded that she wasn’t saying any names. “I approach those things as a Rap fan, not as Nicki Minaj. Somebody would have to get up there and play their joints and have the people reminisce and go crazy” the “Chun Li” rapper said. As Joe continued to press Nicki still would not give an answer, as Joe suggested that if it’s about the crowd reminiscing “It’s gotta be Kim.”
