The Honorable Shyne, the new Hulu documentary which chronicles the former Bad Boy Records recording artist and his trajectory from rap star, to prisoner, to politician has a release date of November 18. The documentary is produced by Andscape, the Black-led, Disney affiliated multimedia platform and ColorCreative, the Black-owned production firm whose principals are Issa Rae, Denise Davis and Talitha Watkins. The trailer for the film features Shyne, Kevin Lyles, Faith Evans, Gene Deal, DJ Khaled, and Charlamagne Tha God.

Shyne, born Moses Michael Levi Barrow, is currently Leader of the Opposition in the Belize House of Representatives, and leader of The Belize United Democratic Party. Barrow launched his recording career in the late 90's on Bad Boy Records, the recording home of the late Notorious B.I.G., who Shyne resembled vocally. A 1999 shooting outside of a New York night club led to his nine year imprisonment.
