Quad Recording Studios, located right off the beaten path of Times Square, where some of Hip-Hop's legends (such as The Notorious B.I.G.) created rap masterpieces. Tonight, Lloyd Banks graced Quad Studios to hold his listening party for his new album, The Course of the Inevitable 2. Banks released The Course of the Inevitable last year, which included Styles P, Freddie Gibbs, Vado, and Benny The Butcher; and walking into the listening party at Quad Studios, you were immediately greeted with anticipatory energy of fans, journalists and industry notables who packed the room waiting for Banks’ to enter the spacious studio.
Guests drank (what seemed to be an unlimited supply of) the popular cognac, D’usse and ate catered Caribbean food; all whilst waiting for Banks' arrival. Music from his past projects filled the room. The energy in the room felt exciting, mainly because Banks’ is not known to do many public appearances nor interviews due to his fairly introverted nature. After Banks' arrival, some journalists and industry notables were escorted to the dim lit recording room located in the studio to listen to the 45-minute album. Banks sat in the middle of the room, on a couch, occasionally nodding his head to different songs on the album like “Menace,” which features Conway the Machine.
