LL COOL J's 14th studio album, THE FORCE is his latest project in more than a decade. A series of singles including "Saturday Night Special" featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe, "Passion", and "Proclivities" featuring Saweetie set the pace for the 14 song project which is being revered as one of his best yet. His current single, "Murdergram Deux" featuring Eminem finds the duo trading rapid fire bars over a bouncy Q-Tip produced tracks.

THE FORCE debuted at number 9 on the Billboard Top Rap Album Chart, which gave him his fifth consecutive Top 10 on that list which was launched in 2005. The DEFinition (2004), Todd Smith (2006), Exit 13 (2008), and Authentic (2013) also debuted on the Top Rap Album chart.

The Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart was launched in 1985, and encompasses LL's entire career as a recording artist. His debut album Radio was released in 1985, and THE FORCE is his 15th album to appear on that chart. LL COOL J is the first and only Hip-Hop artist to chart a Billboard entry in each of the last five decades, solidifying his greatness and staying power.
