Lil Wayne took over the mid-2000s with his legendary run, dropping some of hip-hop’s hottest mixtapes of the era and cementing himself as the “greatest rapper alive” with his Dedication and Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape series.

Sorry 4 The Wait was one of Weezy’s most notable projects. Released in 2011 as an apology to fans for the delayed Tha Carter IV, Sorry 4 The Wait quickly became a cult classic in Lil Wayne’s abundant catalog. Now, over a decade later, Weezy is releasing the mixtape to all streaming platforms.

On Saturday (January 8), Lil Wayne took to his Instagram account with a post announcing the news of his beloved mixtape making its way to DSPs. The post features an animated video soundtracked by Wayne’s freestyle of Gunplay’s “Rollin.” Wayne is yet to announce a release date, but he did notify the fans the mixtape is currently available for pre-save on Spotify and Apple Music.

Sorry 4 The Wait finds Wayne spitting on tracks by the likes of Drake, Meek Mill, Beyoncé, Waka Flocka Flame, and even Adele. The tape was initially made available on YouTube and mixtape platforms such as Datpiff and Mixtape Monkey. It’ll be the third Wayne mixtape to be reissued on streaming platforms following 2009’s No Ceilings and 2015’s Free Weezy Album.

Be on the lookout for Wayne’s classic mixtape, Sorry 4 The Wait, to hit streaming services soon.
