Jeezy shared a new video "King's Crown" from his recently released Gangsta Grillz album with DJ Drama, Snofall.
The video, directed by Pilot Industries, finds Jeezy hanging out in Atlanta, including in front of the infamous Walter's, as he talks about the ills of street life, and losing good people to violence.
“How you muthafuckas let them gun king down? / Now some clown nigga walking round with king crown,” raps Jeezy. “Marble floors but I’m feeling like in the slums / On my sixth cup of liquor think I’m going numb," he rhymes on the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League produced track.
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, he talked about why street cred has lost its luster. “I really think that when you start walking in those rooms, and you trying to do business, nobody really care about what you done on the streets, and then as a man you shouldn’t care,” Jeezy said after Charlamagne praised him for realizing that street cred doesn't matter when you're busy adulting. “Cause what people think about me ain’t none of my spiritual business. It’s just not, but for me I don’t need validation by what you consider to be real for me to be a real man.”
As for Drama, he recently had two Gangsta Grillz in the top 10 — Youngboy Never Broke Again’sMa’ I Got a Family and J eezy’s Snofall— at No. 7 and No. 9 respectively, according to Billboard.
