There were many celebrities present at Super Bowl LVI, but two of the coolest moments were seeing Jay-Z interact with and take photographs of his daughter Blue Ivy and seeing Hov and Queen Bey enjoying the halftime show. The 10-year-old Blue Ivy seemed to keep Dad on his toes and he was seen taking several photos of the young fashionista.
Ben Affleck and JLo, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Matt Damon, and Kanye West were all in attendance for the big game as well. Although it has been reported that Beyonce stayed home with twins, footage has surfaced of Bey dancing at halftime with Jay and also watching the game with her Destiny’s Child sister Kelly Rowland.
This year’s Hip Hop heavy halftime line up is due in great part to Jay-Z and his Roc Nation entertainment firm. In 2019 Roc Nation signed a deal with the NFL and part of that deal gave Roc Nation the power to advise on the selection of artists for NFL events and enlisted Jay-Z to “Amplify the league’s social justice efforts", as the league put it. Roc Nation produced the 2022 halftime extravaganza and selected the talent for 2020 and 2021’s halftime shows.
