Whether you're in the camp that classics shouldn't be messed with, or you're open to exploring familiar territory with new actors, we're finally getting a look at the long-gestating House Party reboot.
Made famous by the likes of Kid 'n Play, Robin Harris, Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Full Force, and AJ Johnson, the remake stars Tosin Cole and Jacob Latimore as aspiring club promoters — who after being fired from their low-lift jobs as house cleaners — decide to throw a party at the site of their last cleaning job (which just so happens to be a mansion).
Cameos in the trailers include Kid n' Play, Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi, Anthony Davis, and Lil Wayne, and a new song called “2 Step" from 2 Chainz.
Produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, the script for the new House Party film was written by Jamal Olori & Stephen Glover (Atlanta), and directed by music video director, Calmatic.
