Grant Hill is expanding his producer resume, joining a team of producers for the upcoming sitcom starring Big Daddy Kane, Daddy's House.
All HipHop reports Hill joins Tyler Perry producer Roger Bobb, and NBA Senior VP of Entertainment, Charles Rosenzweig as a producer on the sitcom, which is helmed by Eric B. The show stars Big Daddy Kane as a "divorced former NYC radio personality who now owns a trendy restaurant in Atlanta, GA.” His life is interrupted, however, when his two teenage kids show up to live with him. The sitcom will be directed by Terri J. Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show, All Of Us, Meet The Browns), who will also star as Kane's wife.
Daddy's House was created and written by author and screenwriter Jeff Farley.
“I’ve always been fascinated by film and television production, and I love this show’s storyline and characters,” Hill said. “It’s also great to have an opportunity to work with such talented and creative people.”
Big Daddy Kane broke into film and TV back in the early 90s with roles in 1993's Posse and The Meteor Man. Since then, he's had credits on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit among others. Eric B. has also raked up a string of TV credits with an appearance on ABC's hit comedy series,Meet the Goldbergs and a reoccurring role on the CBS police drama, Blue Bloods.
In addition to his acting endeavors, Big Daddy Kane is set to perform at the 2023 Rock The Bells Festival, taking place on Aug. 5 in Queens, NY.
