Legendary DJ and producer DJ Premier announced on June 28 that the last episode of the critically acclaimed "Live From Headqcouterz" show was airing. The Sirius XM show that broadcasts on Shade 45 has been a source for underground Hip-Hop for the last four years.

"Tonight 7pm EST our final episode of 'Live From The Headqcourterz' will be broadcasted," Preemo revealed in a video posted to his social media. "Salute to the whole Shade family for opening your doors to us to let our show run raw and uncut for the last four years."

The "In Deep Concentration" producer proceeded to thank Paul Rosenberg, Eminem, LL COOL J, the late DJ Kay Slay, who was part of the Shade family, as well as King of Chill from the Alliance, and a host of others.

"We're gonna shut down and re-adjust, but we will be back — just stay tuned," he said.

Several listeners and supporters of the show expressed surprise at the unexpected announcement. The show had become a staple and go-to source for Hip-Hop that would not have received exposure on other major platforms.
