Jay Electronica and Curren$y are planning to reunite, this time on a full-length album. Curren$y posted to his IG a screenshot of an IG Live session where Jay Electronica spoke of a joint movie and film project between the two New Orleans MCs.

"I'm still in Mexico, we still got an album to record and a movie to shoot on the levee," Jay wrote in the comment section.

The duo collaborated on "AD6" from Curren$y's Pilot Talk 4 which was released last year. After that collab, Curren$y tweeted: “J A Y E L E C T R O N I C A lost his mind, glad we’re buddies man. Dude is out of control with rap, thanks for the verse man.” You are a source of motivation for me man, I’ll carry this inspiration into 2022 and bring it to the studio errrday let’s fuckin go.. #pilottalk4.”

Jay Electronica is no stranger to collaborations, having worked with Jay-Z, and more recently MF Doom. A posthumous MF DOOM verse and a rare Jay Electronica feature will appear on White Girl Wasted, a collaborative project between London producer The Purist and U.K. rapper Sonnyjim. The Doom/Electronica collab appears on "Barz Simpson." There is no release date for White Girl Wasted, but a previously posted tracklist boasts appearances from DJ Premier, Madlib, Lee Scott and Mikavelli.
