Chris Webby's "We Up" Features DMX's Last Guest Verse

DMX unexpectedly passed away in April following a drug-induced heart attack that left him in a coma for almost a week. The Ruff Ryders veteran was revamping his career after being released from prison while on the path to recovery before losing his life to a long struggle with addiction.

Connecticut rapper Chris Webby, surprised rap fans with his new track, “We Up,”  featuring the last ever guest verse from DMX recorded right before his passing.

"I’m honored, humbled, and mind blown that the song dropping this #WebbyWednesday even exists at all," Chris Webby said while speaking about "We Up" on Instagram. "As a student of hip-hop, I feel like this is one of the most important contributions I’ll have ever made to the culture that raised me. If I could have imagined having a song with DMX as a kid, this is exactly what it would have sounded like. It’s the last feature he ever recorded, and it’s that classic X.. raw energy, maximum intensity, barks, growls, the whole nine."
