It's a great day when rap giants team up across eras to drop a gem. So is the case with Big Daddy Kane, Busta Rhymes, and Conway The Machine's new Marley Marl-produced collaboration, "Slap." Directed by DreFilms and Busta Rhymes, the opulent video finds all three rappers in their element, calmly explaining why they're the best, and staking their place as influencers of the art.
Busta opens the track, and after shouting out Biz Markie, raps: “We on course now/Back with the force, respect the boss/Shots let off / Shit leak out your head like pasta sauce..."
Big Daddy Kane has been teasing the song for weeks on Instagram. "As we begin to change the Algorithm," he captioned one post. "THE SHIFT IS HAPPENING AS WE SPEAK!!!"
Of course, the legend closes it out, with Kane spitting lines like, "Don't ask me to pass the mic, that's blasphemy/The fuck I look like, DJ Cassidy?"
