Bun B was recently a guest on Talib Kweli's People's Party, and talked about how his 2007 smash with OutKast "Int'l Players Anthem (I Choose You)."

The discussion began with the acknowledgment that UGK's 1999 collaboration with Jay-Z "Big Pimpin" is a timeless record, guaranteed to get the party started no matter where you are in the world, decades later. But Bun also has another hit of the caliber, 2007's "Int'l Players Anthem (I Choose You)" with OutKast.

"'Int'l Players Anthem' has actually opened up an entirely new revenue stream —weddings," Bun says. "I get a lot of calls like can you come? YOu get married you do the slow song and then you do the fast song. I get wives surprising husbands, husbands surprising wives. They know the song is gonna play but then I actually come out and do the song. It's been dope, I've done probably like 10 weddings. It started in COVID and people were paying like really crazy numbers."

In other Bun news, he's gearing up for his popular Southern Takeover at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event sold over 16,000 tickets on the first day, putting it in the top spot for first-day sales for the Rodeo. Bun also hosted a historic takeover last year, and the Houston legend toldCultureMapthat this year's event will "have representation from the great state of Louisiana, the great state of Florida, the great state of Tennessee, the great state of Georgia, and most definitely the great state of Texas." The Southern Takeover will take place on Friday, March 3 as part of Black Heritage Day.

Check out him reminiscing on "Int'l Players Anthem" around the 36-minute mark.
