Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had its world premiere yesterday, and while official reviews are embargoed, for now, the lucky folks in attendance were able to share their general thoughts about the anticipated sequel on social media.

The star-studded red carpet featured the film's stars, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Alex Livinalli and Mabel Cadena as well as writer/director Ryan Coogler, who spoke about how awesome it was to land Rihanna for the movie's soundtrack.

“Rihanna, man, we knew she was at a point in her life as well where she was focusing on different things — focused on business, motherhood, which is a big theme in our film," Coogler said, per The Hollywood Reporter. "We were holding out hope that maybe it could work out and boy did it for this song,” Coogler teased. “I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Wakanda Forever is the sequel to the 2018 box office smash, Black Panther, which scored $1.35 billion in ticket sales and earned an Oscar nomination for best picture. Check out some of the early reactions to the film below.
