OneOf, a green NFT platform built for the music community to connect fans and collectors at all levels with their favorite artists recently announced their partnership with the estate of the late Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G. The one of website announced: “As we embark on the auspicious 25th anniversary of Biggie’s death, and the release of his iconic Life After Death double album, we are collaborating with the Notorious B.I.G. estate on a groundbreaking NFT collection, with a portion of the proceeds from the NFT’s supporting the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation, Inc.”
Biggie’s Mother Voletta Wallace said: “We are excited about our partnership with OneOf and their expertise to memorialize my son Christopher with this first official NFT drop to give his fans an opportunity to participate in and honor their love of him and his music.” OneOf co-founder Josh James says “Using NFT technology, Biggies legacy and his outsized impact on music and culture will be forever cemented on blockchain, to be honored and shared with fans around the world and for generations to come.”
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Biggie’s untimely death as well as his sophomore album Life After Death. A new boxset for the album is planned which includes the original album plus 12” single releases of “Hypnotize”, “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems”, “Sky’s The Limit” and “Nasty Boy.”
