Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre To Start 'Aftermath Takeover' With New Music
West Coast hip-hop fans have been at the edge of their seats ever since Dr. Dre album speculation arose earlier this year. According to DJ Battlecat, Dre will finally be releasing his highly anticipated solo album before the end of 2021.
On Tuesday (October 12), Battlecat shared a post to his Instagram account, teasing a potential timeline for the “Aftermath Takeover,” which will reportedly begin with a new Snoop Dogg album to be released on November 12 and the Dr. Dre album to follow in December.
“P.S.A FROM twitter hmm,” he wrote in the caption. “YIKES. JUST HIT THE PRESS FROM TWITTER POST. THOUGHT I GIVE YOU WEST COAST HATTERS A GLOBLE WARNING THE ROOF IS ON FIRE. MF LOL SHOW TIME. DONT QUOTE ME IT JUST SOUND SO GOOD TO ME LOL.”
The post also indicated that Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated follow-up to 2017’s DAMN., Xzibit’s King Maker, and Mt. Westmore would all be arriving soon. Dre, Snoop, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem will be crushing the stage together at the 2022 Super Bowl LVI Pepsi halftime show for a once-in-a-lifetime moment in hip-hop history.
